Who We Are
Tricia Pritchard - Managing Director
Tricia is a veteran in her field, with over 30 years’ experience in the trade union / employment law industry. Over the years she has provided advice, support, and personal representation to countless nannies on issues such as wrongful dismissal, unlawful deductions, leave entitlement, sick pay and maternity leave. She has robustly negotiated improved terms and conditions of employment, including pay awards and she has worked on a national level, making sure that governments remain acutely aware of the contribution home childcarers make to the UK economy.
Tricia is the Chair of the national Regulation Matters Campaign. The campaign calls for the registration of all childcarers, so that nannies and other home childcare professionals are brought under the same regulatory umbrella and held to the registration standards currently required of childminders to safeguard children, improve childcare standards, creating consistency in the childcare industry, and finally give nannies the profession recognition they so richly deserve.
Dawn Kirenli - Director
Founding member and Director, Dawn has extensive experience as a nanny in the UK and abroad. She set up BAPN to respond to the lack of an organisation focused solely on supporting nannies and advocating for them. Dawn believes strongly that every nanny deserves access to high quality, reliably sound support and information.
Dawn oversees the various schemes and initiatives that BAPN is involved with and takes care of the administration associated with a thriving membership association. Dawn exercises due diligence over the company for the benefit of its members and spends as much time as she can talking to nannies about the real issues they are facing, making sure that Bapn remains current in its approach and delivers what are members most need.
