Penny went to The Baby Show which ran from 21st to 23rd of October at London Olympia and this is what she has to say about the event...
The baby show sponsored by Made for Mums is the biggest shopping destination for new and expectant parents. Giving them a wide choice of products under one roof with over 200 exhibitors with 1000s of products. The show is the best place to compare, try and buy everything you need, at the best possible price. I love to attend this event as a nanny it is great to see what is new and you get to test out different types of products.
One of the great things this time was a testing track which was set up by Made for Mums. You could use any of the buggies in the show on the testing track which had different surfaces so you could feel how the buggy actually would feel if you were out and about. There was grass, gravel areas to go up and down like kerbs and even an area the size of the space for buggy parking on a bus so you could really get a feel of what your buggy would be like to travel with. Other great things at this event if you do take children with you are the Tommee Tippee feeding area which had complimentary food, the Superdrug's changing area with complimentary nappy and wipes. There was a Campbell book activity and reading zone as well as a baby show crèche run by a nursery and a British Red Cross first aid Academy area. As well as a runway with loads of different talks and products being shown all day.
There was GB pocket which have the world's smallest folding stroller, it is actually in the Guinness world records in 2014. This is ideal for travelling it is super compact and folds up to be able to carry in your handbag, it has a sturdy lightweight design. I have included a photo this is very easy to use for more info gb-online.com

Lullaby shades was another new product that I had not seen before. The shade is for buggies and is the first integrated musical sleep shade designed to suit all major brands of buggies and pushchairs with a hood. It is ideal for travelling the fabric has UVA and UVB sun protection and the music helps the child to drift off to sleep. The lullaby shade comprises of an MP4 player and stereo speakers, the MP4 player is preloaded with 50 minutes of bespoke soothing music which is slotted easily and security within the shade and cannot be accessed by the child. I hope to be learning more about this when they send 1 over for testing www.lullabyshades.co.uk
There was a nice new product called baby trim the safe and easy way to trim baby's hair recommended for infants up to 3 years old has been specially developed and tested by professional hairdressers. The unique home and cut action is both safe and easy to use it is a perfect tool for trimming fine baby hair and tidying up those wispy strands. You do not have to wet the baby's head to use the trimmers you simply comb the hair and when you are ready to cut you press the button at the back and the blade cuts her hair, clever www.babytrim.com
I had a really great day there were loads of people to talk to and I was able to test new products. It's really great fun and I also got free creams for sensitive skin, nappy rash creams, baby wipes, magazines and booklets. This show is a really great way to stay up to date and meet lots of interesting people.
I will definitely be going to the next baby show, hope to see you there.
